The YHT hypnotherapy practitioners' course is recognised and externally accredited by a number of professional organisations. If you are comparing courses and find yourself a bit confused about all the different accreditations and qualifications, we have a free ebook explaining it all here. To find out about those bodies which accredit our course, read on.
Hypnotherapy Practitioner Course:
The Hypnotherapy Practitioners' course offered by Yorkshire Hypnotherapy Training has been assessed and validated at Practitioner Level by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (UK). Graduates from this course are eligible for professional registration with the General Hypnotherapy Register (the GHSC's registering agency) at full Practitioner status, together with the acquisition of the industry based award - the General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (GQHP).
The course is also accredited by the British Institute of Hypnotherapy and NLP, who welcome our graduates as practitioner level members. We were the first training organisation in the UK to be granted their new time limited accreditation, and their review of our course stated it was well above the standards required.
Yorkshire Hypnotherapy Training is also a College Member of the Complementary Medical Association, recognised by the public and doctors alike as the leading organisation in the field of ethical, professional Complementary Medicine. Our course is registered as a practitioner level course with the CMA and all our graduates are eligible for CMA membership.
*The CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council) is the national voluntary regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners in the UK. They do not accredit or approve specific training courses or schools. However, graduates of our Practitioner course are eligible to register with them if they wish to do so. For more information see www.cnhc.org.uk.
Foundation Level hypnotherapy training:
The Voluntary Regulations don't cover Foundation level training, so not all accrediting bodies offer this option. Our Foundation level course is recognised by the General Hypnotherapy Register (above) and the ACCPH (below).
Other bodies who recognise our training:
The ACCPH (Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists) is an independent professional body and register for counsellors, coaches, psychotherapists and hypnotherapists. Its primary goal is to support its membership in private practice or within a workplace environment. Accreditation is offered in line with Ofqual, the Open & Distance Learning Quality Council, and our Practitioner course is assessed at level 4.
The Professional Hypnotherapy Network provides information and resources for both its professional members and to the general public searching for an Accredited Hypnotherapist in their location. They accredit training which meets the CNHC* criteria adhering to National Occupational Standards for hypnotherapy diploma level training.
The International Board of Certified Trainers accredits people or organisations rather than specific courses, and they have given our Head Tutor Debbie Waller the status of approved trainer.
