Hypnotherapy training dates and venues
Our hypnotherapy courses give you a choice of training during school hours, or at weekends. We also offer a choice of weekend venues - Wakefield and York (although classes are being held online whilst the COVID restrictions last).
When we are training face-to-face, both cities are easily accessible from a wide area by road, and there are good rail and bus networks for those travelling on public transport.
We are provisionally planning a full return to face to face training from September 2021, but if this isn't possible we will go ahead on the planned dates, using Zoom.
The weekend class in York will run the fourth weekend of each month, it will begin on 25th and 26th September 2021 and continue each month (except December) until July 2022. The early bird discount ends on 13th August 2021.
Midweek training will start on 9th September 2021 and will run on Thursdays in term time only, finishing in July 2022. A full list of dates can be obtained on request. The venue will be confirmed shortly, please get in touch if this is important to your ability to attend. There is only one midweek class per year.
The weekend class in Wakefield will run the second weekend of each month (except August), it will start on 12th and 13th February 2022 and end in December 2022. The early bird discount will end on 15th December 2021.
Please note: to qualify for the early bird discount you must apply, be offered a place, and return your deposit and learning contract before the cut-off dates.
All our venues have B&B nearby for anyone wishing to stay overnight, in Wakefield the York House venue itself offers B&B at reasonable rates.
NB: These are the venues we were using before the COVID lockdown. If they are not available when we go back to face to face training, or if they cannot provide enough space for us to adhere to social distancing rules, other venues in the area will be used.
York - We will be at Millthorpe School in York, which is a bit less than a mile on foot from the train station, and only half a mile from a park and ride stop. There is free parking on-site on a first-come, first-served basis. If (rare) that is full, Knavesmire Road offers free parking and is about half a mile away and there are several long-term 'pay and display' car parks within easy walking distance (Nunnery Lane, 13 mins; Bishopthorpe Rd 13 mins; Rowntree, 16 mins).
York is well placed for those living in the North Yorkshire area and further afield; Harrogate, Scarborough, Whitby and the East Coast etc. It's also easily accessible via the A1M from the North East of England; Newcastle, Durham, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough, and Darlington.
Mid-Week training - the venue varies depending on which day of the week we decide to meet. Please ask for more information if this is important to you.
Wakefield - We will be meeting at the York House Hotel - this is about 2 minutes walk from Wakefield Westgate railway station and close to plenty of city-centre parking, The hotel has a limited number of spaces on site which can be paid for on arrival at reception, otherwise the nearest option - about 1 minutes walk - is Smyth St (WF1 1EP) which is £4.50 all day (checked May 2021). You may find other alternatives here.
Wakefield itself is conveniently sited close to the M62, M1 and A1 which makes it accessible from almost any area of Northern England or the Midlands. Most of our students travel from Leeds, Bradford, Hull, Manchester, Pontefract, Castleford, Doncaster, Sheffield, Nottingham, and Lincoln, although some have come from further afield including Scotland and Staffordshire.
